I like using old items as backgrounds for the vintage items that I sell on my ETSY site. I think the decorative Victorian wood makes a really nice background for the vintage art deco brass charm.

Decorative Wood Victorian Pieces
These decorative wood pieces were recovered from a 1890 Victorian house. My husband has been painting this lovely lady and helping to rebuild and restore the front double-decker porch. I hope to have a picture up when it’s finished. I love old homes, I love old pieces of things, I love old stuff. To me it’s very intriguing, finding out the history of something. So I thought I could find a use for these little treasures in the future.

Fun Vintage Dictionary Pins
I made these pins using images from a 1927 Vintage Dictionary in which the
pages were torn and loose. I just put them up for sale on ETSY. Check them out at rosiemoonbeams.etsy.com

Repurpose old movie posters into decorative storage containers.
Make origami storage boxes from old movie posters.
I had a box of movie posters from the 90s that were in less than perfect condition and a need for storage organizers. The movie posters are printed on a heavy paper. So I knew this would give them the strength and durability needed to make origami storage boxes. You can find the directions here- http://www.origami-instructions.com/origami-box.html . They can be made in a variety of sizes, just as long as you start with a square. I used mine to keep some of my art supplies in.
